Rigveda: Rik means condition and knowledge. It has a lot to do with the geographical location and the mantras invoking the gods. The hymns of the Rigveda contain prayers, praises to the gods and their position in the Devaloka. In this, information about water therapy, air therapy, solar therapy, mental therapy and therapy by Havan etc. is also available.

Indra was the main deity of Rigveda. He was the main deity during the Rigvedic age. He was also Known as the king of the gods and the lord of heaven. Agni is the second most important deity of the Rigveda.

Rigveda is an amalgamation of four major components. It includes Samhitas,Brahmanas,Aryankas and Upanishads.

Rigveda has also emphasized on the importance of Panch Tatva(five elements) namely Prithivi(earth), Pavan(air), Jal (water),Tej(solar energy), and Nabh(sky) and has maintained that the entire life systems on earth are based on harmonious functioning of these five elements.

Yajurveda: Yaju means dynamic sky and karma. Yajurveda contains the methods of Yajna and the mantras used in Yajna. Apart from Yagya, there is a description of philosophy. Philosophy means mysterious knowledge. Knowledge of the universe, soul, God and matter. There are 2 branches of this Veda - Shukla and Krishna.

It is a compilation of ritual offering formulas that were said by a priest while an individual performed ritual actions such as those before the yajna fire. Yajurveda is one of the four vedas, and one of the scriptures of Hinduism.

The Yajur Veda (also known as "Worship Knowledge" or "Ritual Knowledge") is a collection of recitations, ritual worship formulas, mantras, and Chants used is worship ceremonies.

The most prominent deity is Surya, Agni the sacrificial fire and messenger of the gods, and Soma, the ritual drink dedicated to Indra, are additional principal deities.

Samaveda: Sama means transformation and music. Gentleness and worship. In this Veda there is a musical form of hymns of Rigveda. In this there is mention about Savita, Agni and Indra deities. This is also the mention of classical music and dance. This Veda is considered to be the root of music science. It also describes the science and psychology of music.

Samaveda (Sanskrit: romanized:samaveda, from saman "song" and veda "knowledge"), is the Veda of melodies and chants. It is an ancient vedic Sanskrit text, and part of the scriptures of Hinduism. One of the four Vedas, it is a liturgical text which consists of 1,875 verses.

Samaveda is considered the most important of the four Vedas. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna declares, "Amongst the Vedas, I am Samaveda." The hyms of Samaveda invoke demigods like Indra, Agni, and Som Dev. Thus, the major theme of Samaveda can be considered worship and devotion.

Atharvveda: Therva means vibration and Atharva means non-vibration. In this Veda, there is mention of mysterious knowledge, herbs, miracles and Ayurveda etc. In this, knowledge of Indian tradition and astrology is also available.

Atharvaveda is a collection of 20 books, with a total of 730 hymns of about 6,000 stanzas. The text is, state Patrick Olivelle and schlors, a historical collection of beliefs and rituals addressing practical issues of daily life of the Vedic society, and it is not a liturgical Yajurveda-style collection.

The hymns in the "Artharva Veda " are dedicated to prolonging life and healing illnesses, seeking cures from herbs, gaining a lover or partner, or world peace and the nature of good and evial.

Atharvaveda is dated by Flood at ca. 900 BCE, while Michael Witzel gives a dating at, or slightly after, c. 1200/1000 BCE.
